Mr. Dan Magder

Managing Partner Center Creek Capital Group

Dan Magder is the Managing Partner of Center Creek Capital Group and CEO of Center Creek Homes. He created Center Creek to demonstrate that private capital and expertise can advance social impact, while also providing strong financial returns to investors. Center Creek renovates distressed single-family homes to create affordable rentals and acquires build-to-rent (BTR) communities to expand workforce housing; Center Creek Homes develops infill housing specializing in efficient land use and creative design to naturally bring down housing prices. Previously, Dan was a Director of Investments for Lone Star Funds, a $70B private equity fund specializing in distressed debt, where he sourced assets through partnerships with government agencies including Treasury, the Federal Reserve, the GSEs and HUD. He was also a Managing Director of Carrington Holdings and a Director of Corporate Development at Capital One. He has spoken at the White House National Economic Council, Harvard Business School, George Washington University School of Business and numerous industry conferences. Dan lives in Washington DC with his wife and two children, and spends his free time driving his son to hockey practices and his daughter to dance lessons.
