Ryan Johnson is currently the Director of Impact Investing for LISC’s national Strategic Investments Team based in Washington, DC. In this role, he is responsible for creating investment programs that drive investor target returns and community impact in communities across the country. Ryan oversees the creation, structuring and execution of flexible impact equity for real estate projects totaling $ 800 million in gross asset values.
Prior to joining LISC, Mr. Johnson was an Acquisitions Director for Pacific Management Investment Company where he oversaw opportunistic and value-add fund formation, strategy, and joint-venture partnerships for a $250 million dollar real estate platform focused on frontier secondary markets.
Previously Ryan served as an Investment Associate for the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, where he served on a team to underwrite and execute deals for the Rebuild Rhode Island Tax Credit program and Qualified Jobs program. In 2009, he joined a Whitehall Capital Partners in New York City where he and the fund principals grew the fund from four properties and $50 million dollars in gross asset value into a fund with 50 properties and $850 million in gross asset value.
Over his career, has been responsible for over a 100 real estate transactions as an investor and has acquired and underwritten over $ 2 Billion of Class A &B Office, Multifamily, Mixed-Use, and retail within the U.S. Ryan has an MBA from Georgetown University and an MPA from Suffolk University.
